Maritime College opened its season with a doubleheader sweep of Brooklyn College with junior catcher Rachel Rennie leading the way. Rennie, a transfer from the U.S. Naval Academy, went 5-for-8 (.625) with three doubles, three runs batted in and four runs scored. She was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts and recorded 21 putouts without an error.
