Manhattanville College freshman pitcher Mark McCaffrey picked up his first career victory by tossing three scoreless innings in relief in a 7-6 victory over Northwestern (Minn.). McCaffrey entered the game in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded and no outs. After allowing a single, he retired the next three batters to end the inning. He then faced the minimum of six batters over the next two innings to earn the victory.
