St. Joseph’s College junior Jennifer Martinez was sensational in pitching the Golden Eagles to the 2006 Skyline Conference championship. Martinez, who was named Skyline Tournament MVP, pitched five games in three days. In 34.0 innings of work, she gave up just eight hits and one earned run while striking out 68 (14.0 per game). Martinez recorded double-digit strikeout totals in all five games. She also had an RBI triple and scored the eventual winning run in the championship game.
