United States Merchant Marine Academy freshman Laura Ladd earns Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors after going unbeaten in three matches in both singles and doubles play last week. Ladd, who competes at fifth singles and second doubles for the Kings Point men’s tennis team (USMMA does not have a women’s tennis team), did not drop a set in singles play. She recorded victories of 6-3, 6-1 against Mount Saint Mary, 6-1, 6-0 against Hunter and 6-1, 6-0 against St. Joseph’s. Ladd also won three times at second doubles.
