St. Joseph’s College junior pitcher Jennifer Martinez turned in a record-setting week as the Golden Eagles improved to a perfect 5-0 in Skyline Conference play. In 13 innings of work, Martinez recorded 36 of a possible 39 outs via strikeout. She tossed a one-hit shutout and tied an NCAA Division III record for a seven-inning game with 20 strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Farmingdale State. In a tough 1-0 loss to Rutgers-Newark, Martinez gave up just two hits and struck out 16 without a walk.
