Manhattanville College junior Maggie Thomas, the 2005 Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Year, opened the season in top form. In 44.2 innings of work, Thomas gave up just 35 hits while striking out 22 and walking just two. She tossed six complete games while compiling a 2.21 ERA. Thomas struck out 10 batters against seventh-ranked Washington University.
