Sophomore forward Mercedes Miller got off to a strong start for Farmingdale State University by averaging 17.6 points and 8.0 rebounds in five games. Miller also shot 50.9 percent (29-for-56) and 81.1 percent (30-for-37) from the free-throw line. She scored 19 points or more on three occasions, including 25 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots against Baruch. Miller added 23 points in a 98-95 win over Juniata.
