Freshman forward Elena Haynes scored the game-winning goal - her first collegiate goal - to lead Manhattanville College to a 2-0 win over SUNY Institute of Technology in the opening round of the Valiant Cup. Haynes’ goal, which snapped a scoreless tie, came five minutes into the second half off an assist from Eisha Alvarado and helped the Valiants to their first win of the season.
