High School Hauppauge HS St. Joseph’s College junior forward Steve Velazquez led all scorers with 24 points while adding six rebounds and two blocked shots in the Golden Eagles 79-71 victory over Yeshiva. Velazquez was 5-for-10 from threepoint range as he helped St. Joseph’s improve to a perfect 4-0 in Skyline Conference play (7-0 overall). He currently ranks fourth in the conference in scoring at 19.1 points per game.
