High School Tottenville HS Farmingdale State College junior Sean Tiernan ran an 8K personal-best time of 26:57 at the Hofstra Invitational. Tiernan, who placed 10th on the field of 42 runners at the Bethpage course, was the top Division III runner to cross the finish line. The Rams placed fourth as a team with four runners breaking the 30-minute mark.
