Marjorie Marino Award Pitcher of the Week Week Of 3/21/2005 Sport Softball School Merchant Marine Year Position Hometown High School Kings Point freshman Marjorie Marino, last week’s Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week, earns Pitcher of the Week honors this week after helping the Mariners to a sweep of Maritime. In the second game of the doubleheader, Marino was nearly perfect. She allowed one hit and no runs while striking out seven in four innings of work. For the season, Marino has struck out 14 batters in 16 innings pitched.
