Junior defenseman Patrick Ferry helped Montclair State to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2004. In addition to leading a defense that yielded a total of 10 goals in two games, Ferry contributed a goal, two assists, five ground balls and five caused turnovers. He notched his first career goal, scoring the game-winner with two minutes left as the Red Hawks rallied from a two-goal deficit in the final five minutes in a 7-6 win over Hartwick.
