The College of Mount Saint Vincent opened its 2009 season with a 3-1 (30-19, 27-30, 30-22, 30-22) victory over Skyline Conference foe Polytechnic. Sophomore outside hitter David Guerrero led the way for the Dolphins with 12 kills, nine digs, five service aces and two block assists. In a 3-0 loss to No. 15 Hunter, he had five kills, two aces and four digs. For the week, Guerrero averaged 2.43 kills, 1.00 service aces and 1.86 digs in seven total sets.
