Purchase College senior forward Jennifer Danio led all scorers at the Guilford (N.C.) Classic by averaging 23.5 points per game. Danio scored 34 points against host Guilford in the first round, including seven points in the final five seconds to help the Panthers to a 71-68 win. Her 3-pointer with five seconds left pulled Purchase to within 68-67. After Guilford committed a technical foul by calling a timeout with none remaining, Danio sank both free throws to give her team the lead. She was fouled on the ensuing possession and sank both free throws to provide the final winning margin.
