Purchase College opened its season by winning its first three dual meets, including Skyline Conference victories over Maritime and Mount Saint Mary. Senior Patricia Orellana won a total of 10 events. She was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay in each meet and also part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay in the first two meets. Individually, Orellana has won the 200-yard individual medley twice, the 100-yard backstroke twice and the 100-yard butterfly.
