St. Joseph’s College freshman forward Greg Apicella made his first career goal a memorable one. Apicella’s goal in the 40th minute proved to be the difference as the second-seeded Golden Eagles earned a 1-0 win over top-seeded Farmingdale State and captured the Skyline Conference championship. Apicella was selected as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after helping St. Joseph’s earn its first NCAA bid in men’s soccer.
