PURCHASE, N.Y.| The United States Merchant Marine Academy men's and women's swimming and diving teams captured their second-consecutive Skyline Conference Championship titles, in a two-day meet held Friday and Saturday at Purchase College.

Head coach Sean Tedesco's men's side scored 937 points on the weekend to secure the crown, and received Most Outstanding Performer and Rookie of the Year performances from sophomore Nolan Monahan (second-straight year; meet records in the 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM, and on record-setting 400 Free Relay team) and freshman Jake Breschi, respectively.

The Mariners' women's squad collected 587 points en route to victory, while freshman Victoria Kirshner earned both the Most Outstanding Performer and Rookie of the Year accolades after setting two meet records (100 Free, 54.34; 100 Fly, 59.89).

Maritime's Peter Vecchio was voted Men's Coach of the Year by his peers, while Dan Drury of Mount Saint Mary received similar praise on the women's side.

First-place finishers in each event receive all-conference first-team praise, with second-team honors going to all the second-place finishers.
