NEW YORK -
The field is set for the 2017 Skyline Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship, and eight-time defending champion Montclair State University will enter the six-team tourney as the No. 1 seed.

Head coach Michael Schambach's Red Hawks (9-6, 9-0 Skyline) and second-seeded Stockton University (15-2, 8-1) have earned first-round byes, and will play host to semifinal contests Wednesday, May 3 at 7 p.m., respectively.

First-round action gets underway Saturday, April 29, when fifth-seeded Kean University (8-7, 5-4) travels to No. 4-seed Farmingdale State College (11-5, 5-4) for a 4 p.m. opening face-off; that winner will advance to next Wednesday's semifinal round at Montclair.

Meanwhile, Stockton awaits the winner of Saturday's 7 p.m. contest between sixth-seeded Mount Saint Mary College (6-9, 4-5) and third-seeded host U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (10-3, 7-2).

Semifinal winners will advance to the May 6 (Sat.) final, which will be contested at the highest-remaining seed. The winner of the Skyline will receive an automatic berth to the 34-team, NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.
