Men's Soccer All-Conference Team Announced

Mount Saint Mary senior back, Nick Ciani (5)
NEW YORK| The Skyline Conference's 10 men's soccer head coaches have voted for the 2017 all-conference team, and Mount Saint Mary College junior striker Joey Dolan has been named Offensive Player of the Year.

Dolan's teammate, senior back Nick Ciani has been named Defensive Player of the Year, while Sarah Lawrence College freshman forward Camary Jonas takes home Rookie of the Year accolades. Seventh-year mentor Kevin Longacre of Mount Saint Mary was tabbed as Coach of the Year by his peers.

Dolan led the Knights to the 2017 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday (Nov. 4), when he curled home his MSMC single-season-record 18th goal of the season six-plus minutes from time. He ranks No. 3 in NCAA Division III with eight game-winning goals, and 13th with an average of 0.95 goals per contest.

Ciani guided a Mount Saint Mary defense that enters the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship with nine shutouts on the season, including four consecutive "clean sheets." He also aided the team's counter-attack with three assists from his back-line position.

Jonas scored 13 goals in his rookie campaign for the Gryphons, including goals in the last five games in a row. He buried hat tricks against Saint Elizabeth (Sept. 27) and Yeshiva (Oct. 25), and ranks No. 41 nationally with an average of 0.81 goals per game.

Longacre directed the Knights to the 2017 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship, and earns Coach of the Year distinction for the third time (2012, '14). The University of Richmond alumnus will lead MSMC into the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship this week for the second time in five years.

Joining Ciani, Dolan and Jonas on the all-conference first team are: Justin Forrest, Parker Gallt and Anthony Palazzolo of Maritime; Tyler Rapp of Mount Saint Mary; Andrew Gomez and Joseph Llamuca of Mount Saint Vincent; Jorey Garcia of Old Westbury; Anthony Iurillo of Purchase; Kenneth Garcia of St. Joseph's-Brooklyn; and Justin Busto, Marc Ceruti and Rayneri Ruiz of St. Joseph's-Long Island.
