RIVERDALE, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics Steve Macias announced the hiring of Michael Loeffler as the school’s head men's and women's swimming coach. Loeffler will mentor the already established women’s team at Mount Saint Vincent as well as the new men’s squad starting in the upcoming academic year.

Loeffler comes to the Mount with a strong background in the water. He began his coaching career at the 92nd St. YMCA in New York in 2003 and currently works at the Trinity School as the Head Swim Coach and Swim Director.

He took his current post at the Trinity School in 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of the program. He develops workouts and lineups for meets and also manages two assistant coaches and the pool staff. He also serves as the Swim Director for the Trinity Sports Academy.

Loeffler has also had stints as a swimming coach at the Scarsdale Golf Club, Asphalt Green and the Reebok Sports Club. He is CPR, First Aide and W.S.I Certified.

Loeffler graduated from the State University College at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and currently resides in Riverdale.
