RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Frank Fanning returns to the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 2009 after serving as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach for the Dolphins from 2005-2007. Fanning is back for his second stint at the Mount and brings with him a wealth of college and professional coaching experience.
For the past 14 years Fanning has been a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional. Over that time he has coached at various levels, including NCAA Division I and the ATP WTA Tour. In 1993 he served as an assistant women’s tennis coach at Cleveland St. before moving on to become an assistant with both the men’s and women’s programs at Marist from 1994-97. Following his tour at Marist he was an ATP WTA Tour Coach from 1997-99.
From 2006-07 Fanning was the Director of Tennis at Solairs Sports Club in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. before moving on to his current position as the Director of Tennis at Tarry Crest Swim and Tennis Club in Tarrytown, N.Y.
Over his time as a tennis professional, Fanning has worked with renowned tennis coaches across the country, including Tom Gullickson and Rick Macci. He has also worked at esteemed clubs from coast-to-coast such as The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla. and The Vintage Club in Indian Wells, Calif.
Fanning currently resides in Yonkers, N.Y.
